A wonderful French glazed Terracotta Confit Pot or Jar from the Southwest part of France.

Circa late 1800s.

This charming pot is glazed inside and partially on the exterior with a mustard yellow color and has a drainage hole in the bottom.

There are two handles commonly referred to as "ears".

In days past these pots were used for storing and preserving cooked meats.

Today it would be beautiful for a French country look displaying dried flowers or cooking utensils or as a planter.

These confit pots also look stunning in a grouping with other various sizes of pots.

Diameter of mouth opening is 6". See all dimensions in details.
